The Tally Pro Studio Edition

A scale that teaches you to pour.

Pour-over is a relationship between two numbers: coffee in and water in, expressed as a ratio. A scale that can hold both numbers at once, cleanly and responsively, removes most of the uncertainty from the brew.

The Tally Pro reads to a tenth of a gram with a top capacity of 2,500g. The response is fast enough that the number on the display matches where the water actually is in your brewer. No hunting, no lag. You see the ratio you're building in real time.

Where the Tally goes further than most scales is Brew Assist Mode. You enter your coffee weight and target ratio. The scale calculates your target water weight and shows you a guide as you pour, counting down to the target. When you hit the number, it tells you. It's the first scale we've seen that actually teaches pour-over the way someone standing next to you would.

Brew Assist is the scale telling you what a brewer would say: you're at 240 grams, that's your pour.

The Studio Edition adds materials that match. A glass base, metal touchpoints, an OLED display that reads clearly in direct light. Rechargeable over USB-C with 13 hours of continuous use per charge, which for most people means charging once every few weeks. Removable weigh pan so you can wipe it down.

We stock the Tally Pro Studio because the brew guides our roasters publish in the portal assume a scale in the loop. Ratios, pour timings, final beverage weight. The Tally turns those numbers into a cup you can repeat.

Nine things to know

What the Tally does.

01

0.1g readability

Accurate to a tenth of a gram across the full measurement range. Small enough increments for dosing espresso and precise enough for pour-over ratios.

02

2,500g capacity

Up to 5.5 pounds. More than enough for the largest pour-over, Chemex, or French press you'll brew at home.

03

Brew Assist Mode

Enter your coffee weight and target ratio. The scale calculates the water weight and guides you to it as you pour. When you hit the target, it tells you.

04

Timer Mode

For brewers who want the numbers without the guidance. Side-by-side stopwatch and weight display.

05

Weight Mode

General-purpose weighing in grams, ounces, pounds, and milliliters. For measuring anything that isn't coffee.

06

OLED display

Luminous, clear, and wipeable. Readable at a glance from across a counter, in any lighting.

07

Rechargeable USB-C battery

13 hours of continuous use on a charge. Most subscribers charge once a month or less.

08

Removable weigh pan

Pull the pan off to clean underneath. No silicone mat that traps grounds in the folds.

09

Studio Edition materials

Glass base, metal touchpoints, anodized aluminum accents. Built to live on your counter, not hide in a drawer.

How it works

How to use it in a brew.

Turn the scale on and pick a mode. For pour-over, Brew Assist is the fastest path. Place your brewer and filter on the pan, tare, add coffee, tare again, and enter the ratio you want. The display starts counting up as you pour and counts down as you approach the target. When you hit the number, the scale lets you know.

For more experienced brewers, Timer Mode runs a stopwatch alongside the weight reading. For non-brewing uses, Weight Mode handles grams, ounces, pounds, and milliliters on whatever you're weighing.

Who it's for

Who the Tally is for.

The Tally Pro Studio is for subscribers serious enough about brewing that they care about ratios, and curious enough that they want help getting them right. Brew Assist is especially useful if you're still learning pour-over and want a guide in your kitchen. For experienced brewers, the responsiveness and capacity make it a quiet workhorse.

In the Fellow ecosystem

Built to sit beside the Stagg and the Ode.

The Tally Pro Studio shares a material language with the Stagg EKG Pro Studio Edition: glass surfaces, metal touchpoints, the same visual register. Weigh on the Tally, grind in the Ode, pour with the Stagg. Three pieces, one workflow.
