The Pearl is the scale most home brewers reach for first. A flat top big enough for a V60 and a server, a display that shows weight, time, and flow rate at once, and the responsiveness that made acaia's scales a default on café bars around the world.

This version is the reimagined Pearl. acaia kept the classic features people already trusted and rebuilt the weighing technology underneath. The scale stabilizes faster and more accurately. The display brightness adjusts for sunlight so you can read the numbers at a counter by the window. USB-C charging replaced the old Micro-USB. The battery lasts 30 to 40 hours of continuous use.

The flow rate indicator is the feature that changes how you learn to brew. A row of LEDs shows grams per second as you pour. You see pour speed in real time and start to build a feel for what a good pour looks like, not just what a good final weight looks like.

How it works

How the Pearl fits into a brew.

Place your server on the pad, set your dripper on top, and add the filter. Zero the scale. Add coffee, zero again, and start pouring. The timer begins automatically when water hits, and the flow rate LEDs show grams per second as you pour.

For pour-over, the flow rate reading is the most useful piece of feedback the scale gives you. A steady flow through the bloom and main pour is usually a sign the bed is draining evenly. A flow rate that climbs or stalls tells you something about grind size or pour technique. The data is there every time you brew.
