The 270Wi is the Sette 270 with an Acaia scale built into its bones. The W stands for weight. The i stands for intelligence, which Baratza defines as the grinder's ability to predict flow rate, adjust its own runtime, and stop at your target dose without you watching.

The scale sits under the portafilter arm. Accuracy is 1/10th of a gram. Three programmable presets store weight-based doses. Press one, the motor starts, the scale measures the grounds as they fall, and the grinder shuts off within tenths of a gram of target.

Integrated Acaia scale

Weight-based dosing accurate to 1/10th of a gram. The scale lives under the portafilter holder and measures the grounds as they fall. No stopwatch, no separate scale, no guessing.

Flow-rate prediction and auto-stop

The motor predicts the remaining grinding time as the dose approaches your target. It slows and stops within tenths of a gram, not seconds. Response time on the scale is roughly 20 milliseconds.

Bluetooth and the BrewBar app

Connect to Baratza's BrewBar app on your phone to track grind sessions, record weights per coffee, and install firmware updates. The grinder gets better over time.

Three programmable weight presets

40mm conical steel burrs

How it works

How the 270Wi handles a dose.

Place your portafilter under the spout. The device holder keeps it steady. The integrated scale tares automatically when the portafilter seats.

Choose a preset, or set a target weight on the front panel. Press start. The motor spins the burrs, grounds fall directly into the basket, and the scale reads them in real time.

As you approach target, the grinder's firmware predicts the remaining time and slows toward the stop point. It cuts off within 1/10th of a gram of your target. No overshooting, no undershooting, no dialing by feel.
