The Forté AP
The commercial grinder that moved into the home kitchen.
Commercial-class ceramic burrs in a thirteen-pound metal chassis.
Ten things to know
What the Forté AP brings to the counter.
54mm flat ceramic burrs by Ditting
Manufactured by Ditting, a commercial grinder specialist. Ceramic burrs run cool and hold their edge for extended runtime. The AP burr set is tuned for rich body and chocolatey character across espresso and filter.
Touchscreen interface
LCD touchscreen controls grind settings, timer, weight targets, and the three programmable presets. Clean menus, no buried submenus. Faster than button-and-dial grinders for multi-coffee households.
Integrated scale, 0.2-gram accuracy
Built-in electronic scale measures grounds as they fall. Weight-based presets stop the motor within 0.2 grams of target. Accurate enough for espresso, fast enough for morning workflow.
260 grind settings
Twenty-six macro steps, ten micro steps per macro. More adjustment than any home user will exhaust. The breadth is there to let you tune for a specific coffee's ideal.
1950 RPM motor
Faster burr speed than the Vario or the Virtuoso, tuned for the commercial-grade burr set. Grinds espresso at 2.1 grams per second, filter at 3.5 grams per second.
Three programmable presets
Store three dose profiles, each with weight or time parameters. Switch between espresso, filter, and a second espresso recipe with a single button press.
Metal grinding chamber and chassis
Heavy-duty build. The grinding chamber is metal, the housing is metal, the portafilter holder is metal. Thirteen pounds of grinder, planted on the counter, dampening vibration.
Removable hopper with bean shutoff
Hopper lifts off with a valve that seals the burr chamber. Swap coffees without running beans through or losing the remainder. Useful for subscribers who rotate through roasters.
58mm portafilter holder
Commercial-standard 58mm, swings under the spout. Grind directly into the basket. No dosing cup transfer step.
Commercial-grade warranty
One year or fifty hours of motor runtime, whichever comes first. Engineered for continuous shop duty, which at home translates to years of daily grinding without concern.
